Join us Friday, May 18 at 7pm for Zion’s annual Spring Musical! The musical will take place in the school’s gym.
This year Kindergarten – 6th Grade will be presenting “It’s Cool in the Furnace” by Burl Red & Grace Hawthorne, adapted by Allegra Braasch.
This is a musical based on the biblical story about Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. It is about God’s faithfulness in times of trouble. While Old Testament stories can be difficult to understand, I think this one has a clear message we can all learn from. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to succumb to the temptations and threats around them and face great peril when they are thrown into the fiery furnace! But just when all seems lost, God shows His power and saves them! How often do you feel as if you’ve been thrown into a fiery furnace? For me, every day can feel that way sometimes! But I love God’s promise to us; He will never leave us or forsake us and with Him by our side, nothing can harm us! Even though we may lose our very lives here on this earth, we have the blessed assurance that we will spend eternity in heaven with God!
