2012 – Back to School Night

Greetings to you and your family!

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 15th.

Back to school conferences for all grades will be held on Monday, August 13. This year we will have three 30 minute session times for grades K-8. The session start times are scheduled for 6:30pm, 7:00pm, and 7:30pm. You may pick which session is easiest for you and your family to attend. Unlike previous years, we will not be having individual family session times. If you have more than one child attending Zion, plan to attend as many of the three session times as needed to see each teacher. PTL is planning family-friendly activities and a dessert bar on the south grass playground area, so please join us before or after your session(s).

Preschool Back to School times are as follows:

• 5:00-5:45PM -All 3 year old classes
• 5:45-6:30PM –All 4 year old classes

It is important for you to attend. It is a time set aside to meet your teachers, bring in your school supplies and receive information about the school year. Preschool parents will meet in the Fellowship Hall located to the right of the main school doors.

At the Back to School Night, Zion will be selling t-shirts with our academic crest logo for $10.00 a shirt! We will also be selling ESV Bibles that night.

Things to look forward to this coming school year…

• Newly painted preschool-2nd grade wing
• New Language Arts series k-8 (BJU Press)
• 30 New Chromebooks (laptops) with a cart
• New P.E. Equipment (purchased by PTL using fundraising dollars from the 2011/2012 school year)
• Soccer goals and tetherball units on Playground area (purchased by PTL using fundraising dollars from the 2011/2012 school year)
• Most importantly another year of training our children in God’s Holy Word the Bible
